― Mechanical interchangeable chip system used as a mandrel, available with either a quick-clamping system or handle operation.
Type QCD
Application:
For unwinding and rewinding web materials, fibers, and similar products. These are manufactured as single- or double-sided mandrels/shafts, depending on customer requirements.
Function:
Interchangeable heads for different core diameters are simply mounted on a female shaft via a plug-in connection. Clamping is achieved tool-free by rotating a handle 100°. For applications requiring higher torque transmission, a manual handle replaces the quick-clamping system, allowing significantly greater torque transfer. Torque is transmitted through highly chemically resistant clamping rubbers. This mechanical clamping mandrel is available with either a quick-clamping system or handle operation.

Advantages
- Interchangeable heads on the nut shaft allow clamping of different sleeve diameters on a single shaft.
- Very fast clamping and release via handle (locking with quick-change system).
- Increased torque transmission possible (only when operated via handle).
- Fully autonomous operation (no tools or compressed air required).
- Durable and highly chemically resistant clamping rubber.
- Cost-effective thanks to modular design.
- Short changeover times for sleeves and coils.
- Excellent concentricity due to self-centering mechanism.
- Customizable for almost any diameter.
- Robust and simple design.
- Proven expansion technology.
- Axial and radial locking.
- Smooth and reliable operation.
