― Clamping bar shaft with double-sided bearings and manual clamping mechanism
EXPAN(D)TEC® System Ludwig: Type QLW
Application:
Winding and unwinding web materials in processing and finishing machines, textile machines, packaging machines, and similar equipment. Suitable for winding cores made of cardboard, plastics, metal, composites, or wood in all standard dimensions.
Function:
The tensioning bars, evenly distributed around the circumference of the QLW tensioning shaft, are pushed outward by axial thrust from the internal mechanism, thereby applying continuously adjustable contact pressure to the previously mounted winding core or spool. The axial thrust is generated by a centrally located threaded spindle, manually operated via a handle. The centrally expanding tensioning bars ensure precise winding alignment and guarantee high concentricity.

Advantages
- Fully autonomous operation (no tools or auxiliary equipment required)
- Absolute tensioning security due to self-locking actuation
- Spring-buffered re-tensioning for consistent performance
- Rapid tensioning achieved with just a few turns of the handle
- Continuously adjustable tensioning force
- Precisely symmetrical expansion of tensioning bars ensures exact winding alignment
- Easy insertion and removal of the winding core
- High functional reliability thanks to simple and robust construction
- Modular functional elements provide excellent value for money
